Adjust Multiple Monitor Displays Between Extend and Duplicate Mode

Overview


This article provides instructions for configuring multiple display monitors between extend and duplicate mode. With extended desktop mode, you have a larger Windows desktop area spanning multiple displays and can move applications from one display to the other. With duplicate desktop mode, the same image is mirrored and will appear on selected displays (which can be useful for demos and presentations).

 

Instructions


Adjust monitor from Extend Mode to Duplicate Mode:

  1. On the Windows desktop, right select the background.
  2. Select Display Settings.
  3. Under Multiple displays, select Duplicate desktop on 1 and 2 or 1 and 3 (for three monitor setup).

 

Adjust monitor from Duplicate Mode to Extend Mode:

  1. On the Windows desktop, right select the background.
  2. Select Display Settings.
  3. Under Multiple displays, select Extend desktop to this display.
