Overview

This article describes how to manually upload YuJa file recordings from your local computer to Canvas.  This can be useful if the YuJa upload process stalls.

Instructions

  1. Find the video directory for the YuJa recording.
    • Windows: The directory is typically found in Local Disc (C:)/Program Files/YuJa/YuJa Software Capture/videos.
    • Macintosh: The directory is typically found in /Library/Application Support/YujaYSS.
      • The files will usually be in either the uploaded or uploading folder.
      • Here is a YuJa Guide for further information.
    • NOTE: The .uploaded is the file extension that can be searched for if the files aren't showing up in the expected folder.
  2. Find the two exam recordings.
    • One file contains the screen recording, and the other contains the webcam recording.
    • Check the dates of the recordings, i.e. the file creation date, to verify the correct recordings are found.
  3. Upload the recording files to the proper class folder in canvas.
  4. Contact your instructor to let them know that the files were uploaded manually.  The instructor can then verify if they received the files.
