This article describes the process to locate a counselor for a non-degree seeking student.

Note: Non-degree seeking students do not have a primary counselor assigned in MyJCCC > MyProfile, you must manually reach out to a counselor.

Instructions


  • Call the Counseling Center at 913-469-3809 or email advise@jccc.edu to request academic advising or support.
  • Schedule an appointment for in-person or virtual counseling, or ask about walk-in availability.
  • Go to the Counseling Center on the second floor of the Student Center for in-person assistance.
  • If you have a specific area of interest, request to meet with a counselor who specializes in that subject when you make your appointment.
  • For quick questions, use the instant messaging service or email the Counseling Center.
