Overview
You may want to change your audio output device from a headset, to built in computer speakers, or to a set of external speakers. This article describes the process for selecting a sound output device for the Windows operating system.
Instructions
- Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner.
- Select Sound Settings.
- If needed, select the drop-down menu under Choose where to play sound.
- Select desired output device.
An alternate way to access this setting.
- Rick-click Windows Start button.
- Select Settings.
- Select System.
- Select Sound.
- If needed, select the drop-down menu under Choose where to play sound.
- Select desired output device.
