Overview
Some Mac configurations do not automatically connect to the wireless network with just the username and password and require additional configuration.
This article describes the process for setting up a manual wireless connection for Mac computers.
Instructions
Mac OSX (Version 12 and lower):
- Select the Apple menu button on the top left of the screen.
- Select System Preferences.
- Select Network located under the Internet & Wireless section.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select Advanced.
- Under the Wi-Fi section, select the plus (+) icon.
- In the Network Name field, enter "JCCC."
- In the Security field, select "WPA2 Enterprise."
- In the Mode field, select "Automatic."
- In the Username field, enter your full JCCC email.
- In the Password field, enter your JCCC password.
- Select OK.
- Select OK again.
- If it asks to verify server certificate, select Continue.
Mac OSX (Version 13 and higher):
- Select the Apple menu button on the top left of the screen.
- Select System Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select Other.
- In the Network Name field, enter "JCCC."
- In the Security field, select "WPA2 Enterprise."
- In the Mode field, select "Automatic."
- In the Username field, enter your full JCCC email.
- In the Password field, enter your JCCC password.
- Select OK.
- If it asks to verify server certificate, select Continue.
