Disable Pop-Up Blockers in Browsers

Overview:


If you have clicked on a link, such as EASI or My Finances in MyJCCC, and nothing happens, your browser may have a pop-up blocker preventing a new window or tab from opening. This article describes how to disable pop-up blockers in different browsers. 

 

Instructions:


To disable pop-up blockers on your computer or device, review the instructions for multiple browsers for Windows and Mac operating systems.

 

On Windows Computers:

Microsoft Edge

  1. In the top right corner click on the 3 horizontial dots select Settings.
  2. Select the "Cookies and site permissions" tab.
  3. Select the "Pop-ups and redirects" tab.
  4. Uncheck the "Block" setting.

Firefox

  1. In the top right corner click the 3 vertical linesselect Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Security tab, scroll down to Permissions.
  3. Uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox.

Google Chrome

  1. In the top right corner click the 3 vertical dots select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and security.
  3. Under Privacy and security select Site settings.
  4. Scroll down and select Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. Select Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects.

On Macs:

Safari

  1. In the Safari drop-down menu, select Settings.
  2. Select Websites.
  3. Select Pop-up Windows.
  4. Select Allow under When visiting other websites:.

Firefox

  1. In the top right corner click the 3 vertical linesselect Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Security tab, scroll down to Permissions.
  3. Uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox.

Google Chrome

  1. In the top right corner click the 3 vertical dots select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and security.
  3. Under Privacy and security select Site settings.
  4. Scroll down and select Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. Select Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects.

On Mobile Devices:

iOS Devices

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Safari.
  3. In the General section, select "Block Pop-ups" button to toggle on or off. 

Note: Button will be green when pop-up blocker is on.

Note: Toolbars or security software that you have installed may have additional pop-up blockers.
