Browser - Disable Pop-Up Blockers

Overview:


If you have clicked on a link, such as EASI or My Finances in MyJCCC, and nothing happens, your browser may have a pop-up blocker preventing a new window or tab from opening. This article describes how to disable pop-up blockers in different browsers. 

 

Instructions:


To disable pop-up blockers on your computer or device, review the instructions for multiple browsers for Windows and Mac operating systems.

 

On Windows Computers:

Internet Explorer

  1. In the Gear icon or Tools drop-down menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Uncheck the "Turn on Pop-up Blocker" checkbox.

Firefox

  1. In the top-right corner, click the button with three lines, select Options.
  2. Select the Content tab.
  3. Uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox.

Google Chrome

  1. In the top-right corner, click the button with three lines (customize) and select Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the Settings page, select Show advanced settings...
  3. Under Privacy, select Content Settings.
  4. Scroll about halfway down the page. Under Pop-ups, select Allow all sites to show pop-ups.
  5. Select Done.

On Macs:

Safari

  1. In the Safari drop-down menu, select Preferences.
  2. Select Security.
  3. Uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox.

Firefox

  1. In the top-right corner, click the button with three lines, select Preferences.
  2. Select the Content tab.
  3. Uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox.

Google Chrome

  1. In the top-right corner, click the button with three lines (customize) and select Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the Settings page, select Show advanced settings...
  3. Under Privacy select Content Settings.
  4. Scroll about halfway down the page. Under Pop-ups select "Allow all sites to show pop-ups."
  5. Select Done.

On Mobile Devices:

iOS Devices

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Safari.
  3. In the General section, select "Block Pop-ups" button to toggle on or off. 

Note: Button will be green when pop-up blocker is on.

Note: Toolbars or security software that you have installed may have additional pop-up blockers.
