Sharing PowerPoint Presentations Publicly

Overview

This article provides instructions on sharing PowerPoint presentations publicly.

 

Instructions

  1. In PowerPoint, select File.
  2. Select Share.
  3. Select Save to Cloud.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to save the file to a Cloud location.
  5. Select the Share with People button.
  • To share the publicly accessible link, select Copy Link.  The link will be saved in the local clipboard that you can use to paste to another location as desired.
  • To email the publicly accessible link, select the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner. 
    • Select your email messaging application.
    • ​​​​​​​ This will open an email, with the link already pasted in the body of the message.
  • To directly send the PowerPoint presentation to your email messaging application:
    • Select the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner,
    • Select Send a Copy.
    • Select PowerPoint Presentation. 
    • This will open an email with the PowerPoint Presentation already added as an attachment to the email.

Note: Those sharing a presentation from OneDrive using an anonymous links may not last until the end of a semester, as anonymous links expire after 30 days.
